Supply Chain Project Manager – (Director/Senior Manager Level) £400 - £450 Day Rate – Staffordshire 4 – 6 months contract. An international blue chip organisation, is now seeking to appoint Senior Supply Chain Project Manager to work within their UK operation. As a leading business within their field, they have market leading products, superior service, unrivalled maintenance and support and a number of high profile businesses nationwide. Due to a genuine commitment to continuous improvement, this fixed term interim role, is a rare opportunity to re-design and propose a complete supply chain solution for the entire UK business to the UK Board. Top level deliverables will be to maintain customer service whilst streamlining all materials movement, inventory management, warehousing and distribution across a high number of sites. Working within a high profile project team, you will work closely with the project manager and the project analyst to ensure the supply chain model is viable and will ultimately deliver customer service, lower costs and optimise business growth and performance. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have the following: - Significant Supply Chain knowledge with demonstrable experience of designing and recommending supply chain models and solutions. We are looking for a supply chain subject matter expert with experience of designing solutions from cradle to grave.
- Strategic planning experience of end to end supply chain, including all materials movement, inventory, warehousing and third party transport solutions.
- Ideally automotive manufacturing, engineering, construction or building products background, however all manufacturing sectors will be considered.
- Demonstrate a substantial record of implementing change in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of business process improvement techniques – e.g. Six Sigma.
- The ability to influence and present at Board Level.
- Experience of managing and achieving financial and operational targets.
- Commercial awareness and presentation skills.
