Product Analyst / Commercial Analyst - £28,000 - £30,000Global Leader in Manufacturing - £28,000 - £30,000, plus full benefits package including Company Bonus, Health Care, Pension, 25 days holiday. – Birmingham (North Area) Working for a global leader in Manufacturing, this Product Analyst / Commercial Analyst position requires a highly detailed and analytical individual. You will have responsibility for the provision of robust analysis and reporting of current and future product performance including sales and margin, pricing and market trends. Positioned within the European Product, Sales and Marketing division, you will be required to analyse management information and provide thorough, concise and relevant information to the business to improve overall planning and forecasting performance and to enable resources to be more closely targeted to relevant areas. Your key responsibilities will include – - Responsibility for providing accurate, live and relevant information on a pan-European basis to aid decision making and strategy development for the senior management team.
- Understand implications of moves in material prices, fluctuations in demand cycles and produce strong well-balanced reports to recommend strategies for the business.
- Assist in the creation of all European Grant of Authorities ensuring SOX compliance for the European Sales Team.
- To assist in commercial contract compliance and commercial negotiations.
- Identify ways to improve the quality and usefulness of commercial data and the tools used to access it.
- Working cross functionally within Sales and Finance to develop costs in conjunction with CST and Operations.
- Travel to Europe and America throughout the year.
It is expected that successful candidates will have the following: - 2 – 3 years experience of a similar Product Analyst / Commercial Analyst / Sales Analyst role ideally with a background within manufacturing, though any sector will be considered if you have relevant experience.
- Candidates must have worked recently within a sales, marketing or commercial environment. Candidates with accountancy or financial experience only will not be considered on this occasion.
- Knowledge of and experience in the use of reporting systems.
- Highly adept in the use and manipulation of excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentation package. Candidates with knowledge of SAP will be at a distinct advantage.
- Must have excellent problem solving and mathematical skills and be able to willing to work to deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels are essential.
- A dynamic individual with good organizational and influential interpersonal skills.
- Good self management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritise effectively when working to tight deadlines
- Confident telephone manner
